Slow down

12th September 2016

The last week of the school holidays. My baby is moving up to year one. The year has literally flashed by and our little boy is growing. Slow down time!

Well, we had a lovely summer and although this has also gone way too fast, we did make the most of it. As always I did take a few snaps which hopefully will make up for my lack of weekly photos over the summer. We were just too busy having fun to write blogs πŸ˜‰

We started our week with a day out in Brighton. Noodle just adores going there. He loves the beach, going on the train and the city in general. We had Sushi for lunch, went to the cinema to watch “Finding Dory” and spent the rest of the afternoon watching the i360 going up and down.

The rest of the week we spent catching up with friends, going swimming with a very good friend of mine and a good old catch up after. On one of the rainy days we decided to make cupcakes. I’m afraid there are no pics as I attempted the icing twice and failed miserably. I just can’t do icing ever! (any secret tips greatly appreciated here!)

When the rain slowed down we did make it to the park though and I do have a lovely picture of this. It’s one of my favourites of the holidays. It really makes me smile. It’s definitely my photo of that week πŸ™‚

We finished the week with another trip to the cinema to watch “The BFG”. What a wonderful story! Not having grown up in this country I had only heard of Roald Dahl, but am embarrassed to say that I never read a book. Well, Noodle is just about the right age now and a whole book series with all the classics has been ordered! I can’t wait to discover more of his stories with my little boy. We saw the film at the Dome Cinema in Worthing which is magical.Β It’s been returned to it’s former Edwardian glory, all velvety with beautiful light fittings and wood panelling.
